160 hectares at the heart of Provence
Ideally located an equal distance from Toulon and Hyères in the Gapeau Valley, the Château La Castille estate is home to vines that appear on cadastral plans of the Toulon region in 1566. This makes it the oldest winery in the Var.
More than 25 grape varieties grow side by side on these soils consisting of lime “gravoches” and granite alluviums to produce AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP Var wines in rosé, red and white varieties. In these sun-soaked vineyards, people were celebrating “the divine nectar” more than 500 years ago.
